Welcome to the online information source for official information about rebuilding Whites Bridge!
The goal of the society is to not only rebuild Whites Covered Bridge, but to also preserve the history of the original structure and to provide financial support for maintenance and preservation of the new structure.
We are a diverse and motivated group of individuals ready to work hard and eager to see Whites Covered Bridge rebuilt.
Whites Bridge Historical Society (WBHS) is the only group that has agreements with the Fallasburg Historical Society, Keene Township, and the Ionia County Road Commission. FRWB is the group responsible for removing the remains of the bridge out of the Flat River, saving the county thousands of dollars. (WOOD TV8 coverage of the removal)
Our board meetings are at 6:30pm on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at the Lowell Chamber Office. Board meetings are open to all who wish to attend. We would love to see you!
We have put together a “Frequently Asked Questions” page to answer some basic questions about the funding and rebuilding process. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions!
Please check our News and Events page for the latest updates about FRWB events.
